About UVR Resin

Resin Bound is probably the most popular surface at the moment and if done correctly is a fantastic alternative to more traditional surfaces, such as Block paving or Concrete imprinted.

Resin Bound comes in all different colours and can be used for many different applications. It is low maintenance and ticks all the boxes when it comes to having it around your home.

The initial installation is at the top end of the scale price wise, but if properly maintained Resin Bound does really stand the test of time.

All specifications and processes of work are designed for footpaths/patios and residential drives.

A Resin Bound surface is made from a mixture of resin and aggregate stones. Aggregate is a term used for any particulate material. This can include stone, sand and gravel. These can be recycled or manufactured. Resin is a distinctive name that is given to a natural organic compound in liquid form, consisting of two component parts. Once the aggregate is coated in the resin it is levelled over a prepared surface (please see our Suds Specification) at around 18-22mm. It is then skilfully trowelled by hand to a smooth even finish followed by a crushed quartz bead to give extra grip.
